The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)

In 1958 the United Nations general assembly passed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR),

This declaration consisted of 30 articles affirming fundamental right, freedoms, inherent dignity and equality of for all individuals.

This document became the foundation for human rights law around the globe.

While the UN declaration promots rights of humans in theory, there is no global enforcement of the articles outlined.
